Hello! 

I'm Maria and I currently live in Southport with my partner Natalie; I believe that no journey comes without going into the depths of ourselves, and discovering the lotus in the mud.

My journey towards facilitating others to remove the blocks that stop them from going toward their highest potential and their inner joy started with my own journey doing exactly the same. 

After years of chasing the relationship that would ultimately lead to me feeling complete, I eventually went through a relationship that floored me, that left me feeling empty and without a sense of meaning. I felt like I could not be whole without a partner to fulfil the void that only I could fulfil within me - that void was the connection with myself, with my own centre, with my inner child and all of the parts of me that kept screaming to be heard.

This very journey started from a place of desolation, loss and early attachment rupture which looked like an insatiable need to find the One. 

Only to find out that the One had been me all along. With courage, I stepped into a journey of self-discovery, self-compassion and inner reliance. This was the journey to finding my voice, that ultimately led to redesigning my own life and my relationships.

Learning about what I didn't want, opened up the path to finding what I did want. 

Learning about and training on energetics, inner child work and reparenting, sound healing, clinical reflexology, neuro-linguistic programming therapy, mind-body (somatic) coaching,  trauma and somatic experiencing informed work all led me exactly here, to this very point.

With all the tools gathered throughout the years, I now guide others to find their inner light, their inner voice, the connection with their highest self, their body and mind, the connection with the place from which we can be our most fulfilled selves, and live in the most authentic way.

And yes, I also enjoy pleasure moments, the "doing nothing" that often is the most meaningful part of our life on this Earth. 

So, with that in heart, body and mind, I also enjoy singing and playing the ukulele, connecting with and playing my singing bowls, tongue drum and gong, I enjoy connecting with and looking after my body, meditating, being in nature, feeling the presence of trees around me, placing my bare feet on the sand, listening to the ocean, laughing, reading and learning new things, spending meaningful time with my partner, my family and friends and probably many other things that involve good flavours, good company and expansive conversations. 

Having studied with such great mentors in the field of Mind-Body (Somatic) awareness such as Dr Scott Lyons (Founder and director of the Embody Lab), Dr Arielle Schwartz (Psychologist and author), Dr Peter Levine Phd (founder of Somatic Experiencing), has brought such a depth and expansive awareness both personally and professionally from such pioneers in these modalities. I also had the pleasure of being mentored by Dr Rae Johnson, somatic movement therapist, Kai Cheng Thom who is a somatic coach and author, Manuela Mischke-Reeds, who is a Somatic psychotherapist and embodied Dharma teacher, Dr Richard Strozzi (teacher and founder of Strozzi Institute), Staci K. Haines (author and leader in the field of Somatics) and finally Dr Richard Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy .

In the field of Neuro - Linguistic Programming (NLP), I have furthered my awareness and understanding of subconscious programming that runs our lives from one of the leading mentors in the field Robbie Steinhouse who is a Master NLP practitioner, ICF accredited coach, speaker and author. 

I am also part of the Resource team for the ICF accredited course 'NLP with Advanced Coaching with Processes for Personal and Professional Transformation' with the NLP School, run by Robbie Steinhouse.
